How do we connect?

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Warren as my coach for the past six weeks, and in that short time, he has helped me uncover a new version of myself. I chose Warren because of his rich background in tourism and human resources. At 49, as an experienced tourism professional at a crossroads, I knew he would quickly understand the position I was in and the challenges I faced. Warren has gone far beyond what you might typically expect from a life coach. Yes, he’s helped me set goals and navigate workplace challenges, but what has stood out most is how he has taken the time to truly understand me—gently unravelling my “unravelling” and tailoring a plan to my unique situation. He’s listened, guided, and supported without judgment. He’s been a steady, committed sounding board and advisor, offering structure, thoughtfully prepared sessions, and even additional guidance outside our scheduled time together. In a remarkably short space of time, Warren has helped clear much of the fog I was in and equipped me with tools to stay the course. I know I’ll continue to lean on him during moments of uncertainty and to keep me accountable. He has quite literally become the encouraging voice in my head.

I asked Warren to help me explore the issue of purpose in my life. Through a combination of listening, occasional prompting and gentle accountability, mixed in with some firm deliverables and timeframes, Warren was able to guide my thinking in such a way that I achieved the objectives we had set at the beginning of the coaching journey. Warren's encouragement and guidance was fundamental in bringing together a number of different ideas that had been percolating in my mind, and the result was a project which has brought me fulfilment and enabled me to have a positive impact on others.

I have known Warren for 8 years, and in that time witnessed and experienced his patient guiding, his commitment to helping and pushing people to become better. Personally and more recently, he has guided me through a difficult workplace situation of conflict, toxicity, and challenging leadership. He helped me process the season of transition and dealing squarely with the root issues, helping me find myself. The restoration of my confidence and strength was key and he helped me with great patience, yet firmly pushing me to my potential. Now that season is over, he continues to support me in stepping into my new chapter and phase.

Warren coached us through the end of one chapter and into the next, at a point when we were not seeing things clearly. His real skill was helping us learn from what we were going through while we were still going through it, not months later. He showed us our own strengths and blind spots, and he made sure we kept looking back at the ground we had covered. We never fell into blaming other people for our situation, which is where that kind of exit usually ends up. We came out of it with appreciation for the journey and back in control of our careers. We would not have got there on our own.
